Hi all...

I have been using ACPI for a 'while' now and everything seems to be working=
=20
ok, except that lately the primary battery (of two) in my laptop won't hold=
=20
a charge. It is about a year old, so I was about to write it off as a=20
defective unit, until yesterday.

Yesterday, I changed my device.hints file to disable ACPI and enable APM to=
=20
see if I could improve the stability of the suspension of my laptop. As a=
=20
side effect, the primary battery has fully charged and is now happily=20
sitting at 100%. There has never been a problem with the second battery,=20
even under ACPI.

My question is, is there anything in ACPI that would likely cause this=20
flakiness in my battery? If so, how can I determine what it is.

Thanks in advance for your help.
