                  A few days ago, the program of 4C 2014 was approved by the Chinese government. During negotiations, the Organizing Committee and the authorities analyzed factors such as road conditions, public security, national security, tourist value and climate; consequently, the government validated the following route: Beijing – Tianjin – Jinan – Zaozhuang – Nanjing – Suzhou – Shanghai. <br>
The Chinese government is highly interested in the organization of this event and expressed clear requirements with regards to several details. The Organizing Committee will set up and perfect the event's management system on the basis of these requirements with focus on guaranteeing safety and strengthening participants' vivid experience for a safe, happy and unforgettable tour.<br></font><br>

                  On Wednesday, 16 April 2014, the Organizing Committee held the 4C Press Conference at Tuner Tribe, a center of automotive culture in Beijing. Officials of CVUC, leaders of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), representative of sponsors, partners and more than 80 media agencies attended.<br>
The General Secretary of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Guian Zong, summarized the experience of previous editions and gave a detailed presentation of this year's program and route.<br>
This year for the first time CAAM, a body that unites the majority of Chinese car manufacturers, will join in hosting 4C; the vice Secretary General of CAAM, Mr. Jianhua Shi, said: "CAAM strongly supports 4C and is ready to contribute to a wonderful outcome of the event. 4C plays an important role in promoting and enriching the Chinese automotive cultural scene."<br>
The China Beijing Equity Exchange, the biggest Chinese transaction center with countless resources, was the first partner to sign a cooperation agreement for 4C 2014.<br>
Other enterprises present at the conference were: China Merchants Bank, Air China, the International Copyright Trade Center, CTIS group, Sinotrans, Bank of China and Beijing International Wine Exchange.<br>

                <td><font size="2" color="#666666"><br>Recently, the Organizing Committee has been frequently asked questions about vehicles' shipment. We would like to take this opportunity to address some of the most widespread concerns.<br><br>

Every year we appoint a logistics partner for 4C. Due to the constant fluctuation of shipping prices, the name of this year's partner and shipping costs from different ports around the world will be disclosed in July 2014. Our partner will work in compliance with a set of strict rules and ensure outstanding service. Depending on their own needs, participants may choose among different options, such as delivering their vehicle to the appointed port and entrust it to the forwarder's care or having it collected directly at their door.<br><br>

Of course, those with sound knowledge or good relations in the logistic field may choose to ship their car through a forwarder of their choice; this is fully authorized by the Organizing Committee. In this case, participants must request our "Guidelines for Autonomous Shipment" and the forwarder will need to provide the required information so that the Organizing Committee can complete all on-site procedures. <br><br>

Regardless of the shipping method, vehicles must arrive in China by 15 September 2014 to allow sufficient time for customs clearance. On the basis of this deadline, shipment should take place by the end of July or the beginning of August 2014.<br><br></font></td>

As we understand that many participants may not be familiar with road conditions in China and other specific issues, we hereby provide additional information about the services ensured during 4C:<br><br>
—Every team will receive a road book as navigation tool; the road book will illustrate the position of service areas, gas stations and other important spots along the route;<br><br>
—Every vehicle will be equipped with a device connected to the general monitoring system. The Organizing Committee will know the location of all vehicles at any point in time and will be able to send assistance in case of vehicle failure, loss of directions, etc.;<br><br>
—Professional mechanics will be available to repair breakdown or failures;<br><br>
—Should any vehicle prove impossible to repair, trailers and staff vehicles following the convoy will provide further assistance;<br><br>
—Medical staff (doctors and nurses) will follow the whole event and provide timely treatment if necessary.</font></td>
