The Anti-Money Laundering Authority of U.S. (AML) has accepted new cash transfer rules to prevent cash laundering and to counter terrorist ending. From 1 October 2011, all cash transfer initiated by any bank in U.S. on behalf of a client must include certain prescribed information in addition to the customers name and checking number. These include the client's business address, unique ID number, date and city of birth and Social Security Number.
By initiating a money transfer through the credit union, a customer will be deemed to have consented to the inclusion of these or any alternative;additional details referred to in the new rules in the money transfer message.
