 * From: "Jordan K. Hubbard" <jkh@zippy.cdrom.com>

 * I'm not sure I understand just what I'd be inviting them to do here,
 * however, and would need a bit of clarification on that first.

Inviting them to come over. You know, participating in discussions in
various areas of research and commercial interest, that kind of
stuff. Just say that it should be useful for them to participate to
foster their understanding in the operating system and how to use it.

Their bosses probably can't read English, just say whatever you want
and our friends can "translate" them appropriately. :>

 * I also almost hesitate to point out that this process is more
 * traditionally accomplished by simply submitting and having accepted a
 * paper to the conference(s) you wish to attend. Once that happens,
 * it's very clear that the conference in question wants you to come and
 * equally clear to the company that you should be sent. :-)

That would work too, but not for everybody. ;)

When's the deadline? (It doesn't seem to be on www.freebsdcon.org)

Satoshi

P.S. Berkeley Marina is only 10 minutes from downtown S.F.? Maybe in
     the middle of the night.... ;)
