Hi rommel,
thanks very much for the help, its really helpful.

i have few questions, are you using PC98X1 computer/laptop?
the ISO image i burned in cd contains only the installers for
system. it does not include the installer listed in packages and ports.

do you have a copy of the CD of /packages and /ports ?
can you make an ISO format of that and upload ?

what i need now is the ISO image format of the packages and ports.

thanks
very much

I have been using FreeBSD for 5-6 months now...So, I am not one of the
experts... but if what I can share to you helps then its fine if not
then just forget about this reponse.

If you have already installed FreeBSD in your PC then I can assume that
you already have created your user account of course with your password
and you also have the root password.

If the above assumptions are true then you can use "sysinstall" to
install the Packages that came witht the ISO CD that you downloaded..
Oh, by the way I am also assuming that you downloaded the ISO Image and
burnt it in a CD and then Installed FreeBSD...right?

You can login as a normal user using your account then you can su to
root...and then type:
#/stand/sysinstall
Sysinstall Menu will come out and you can choose the "Post Install
Configuration Menu" I think you can handle things from here...

You can install the XFree86 Server and Desktop Managers (choose what you
want) If you choose to install Gnome2-lite from "sysinstall" as your
Desktop Manager then the Mozilla Internet Client Suite will also be
installed...Of course you can also chose KDE3-lite but I do not know if
Mozilla will also be installed because KDE comes with its own Web
Browser and Office Applications...

You will have to provide us some info here...I am sorry but I can not
help you with this but I am sure others can..
> *MP3 player
I do not know if "XMMS" comes as a package in the CD but if not you can
do this after you can setup your internet connection...

I hope this helps...if not like I said disregard this Email...

Oh, by the way...Don't forget about the HandBook...because this is one
of the reasons why FreeBSD is different from others...
